Strong Line of Defense against Harmful
Bacterial Residues

Environments prone to microbial growth threaten medical personnel, patients, and caregivers. Without antimicrobial fabric, clothes serve as ideal materials for the proliferation of microorganisms, causing adverse effects like odor, disease, and poisoning.
Sunny Special offers clean and hygienic medical fabric that can inhibit the growth of bacteria on textiles.

Learn More about Medical Fabric

Is antimicrobial fabric washable?

Absolutely. It is essential that laundry durability maintains its effect and function after several washings. We consider the frequency of high-water wash cycles in medical institutions. Sunny Special’s antibacterial textiles have passed the SEK norm, which can endure 50 times 80°C medical laundries, as well as conduct durable laundry testing and ensure fabrics’ effect after washing.

What is the difference between medical-grade antibacterial and general antibacterial?

General antimicrobials can neither wipe out methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus nor endure high-temperature laundries.

When you use a medical-grade antibacterial with Japan’s SEK Red mark, you know that your fabric inhibits the growth of staphylococcus aureus, klebsiella pneumonia, methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, and moraxella osloensis, even after several high-temperature washings.

What kind of fabric standard do you have for medical use?

Sunny Special's antibacterial fabrics inhibit bacteria growth on textiles and stay in excellent condition even after 50 times of high temperature (80°C) washing. We have obtained approval of the SEK mark from the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council (JTETC) to ensure the safety and performance of antibacterial fabrics. The test includes gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, and methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus testing. Our test results are much higher than average standards.
